Dando sequência à deslocação em serviço à província do Cunene, o Ministro da Energia e Águas, João Baptista Borges, ladeado pela Governadora Provincial do Cunene, Gerdina Didalelwa, cumpriu hoje, 5 de Julho, o último dia de visita a esta província.
A delegação começou por visitar as obras de construção da escola primária de 12 salas de aulas na comunidade da Eko, Município de Ombadja.
Seguidamente, teve lugar o acto simbólico de entrega de dois postos policiais de apoio aos efectivos da Polícia Nacional de segurança de objectivos estratégicos, destacados ao longo do canal do Cafu.
Em reunião com os empreiteiros e os fiscais, João Baptista Borges pediu celeridade e trabalho com afinco no que se refere à correção de irregularidades ao longo do canal.
No fim dos trabalhos nesta província, no âmbito do Programa de Combate aos Efeitos da Seca no Sul de Angola (PCESSA), fez-se uma apresentação geral, no município da Cahama, sobre as barragens do Welola e Katchavali, ambas já concluídas, entre outros importantes e estratégicos empreendimentos, tendo o ministro pedido para que se cumpram os prazos e que o problema da água fique resolvido nas localidades onde os mesmos estão a ser implementados.
