O ministro da Energia e Águas, João Baptista Borges, trabalhou na província de Cabinda, desde o início desta manhã, 26 de Maio do ano de 2023, para constatar o grau de execução e funcionamento dos empreendimentos do sector que dirige e projectos em curso.
O ministro esteve ladeado pela governadora provincial de Cabinda, Mara Regina Domingos Quiosa, pelo Secretário de Estado para as Águas, Manuel Quintino, pelo vice-governador para os Serviços Técnicos e Infra-estruturas, Agostinho da Silva, PCA's e Administradores Executivos das empresas PRODEL e ENDE e quadros do Ministério da Energia e Águas, no geral.
Em Cabinda, conforme a agenda de trabalho, começou-se por visitar a Central Térmica de Malembo, onde foram recolhidas informações detalhadas sobre o estado de funcionamento do empreendimento. Esta central possuiu uma potência instalada de 145 MW, constituída por cinco (5) turbinas, sendo duas de 35MW e três de 25MW, que eliminará o défice que se registava no fornecimento de energia eléctrica, melhorando de igual modo a qualidade do serviço de distribuição de energia à província mais a norte do país.
Constatou-se, igualmente, o nível de execução da Central Diesel do Chibodo, que é constituída por dezoito (18) grupos geradores instalados, com uma potência de 30,6MW, contando, neste momento, com oito (8) grupos
geradores disponíveis. João Baptista Borges orientou, com carácter de urgência, a recuperação das máquinas indisponíveis.
Seguiu-se a constatação do estado actual do projecto de 2.100 residências da Centralidade de Talisumbi, no município de Cabinda. Na ocasião, foram deixadas recomendações ao Conselho de Administração da ENDE e à Direcção Nacional de Águas para, em articulação com o empreiteiro da obra, apoiarem na instalação de infraestruturas, nomeadamente a implantação de uma linha de 30 KV de energia e a rede de distribuição de água para a centralidade.
Ainda no cumprimento da agenda, o ministro e a comitiva procederam a uma visita exaustiva à Empresa de Águas e Saneamento de Cabinda, tendo visitado a Estação de Tratamento de Água do Tchizo, que é composta por quatro reservatórios de 5.500 metros cúbicos cada, perfazendo uma capacidade nominal de 22.000 metros cúbicos e um sistema que atende os bairros do município de Cabinda. Neste local, foram recebidas explicações sobre o estado do abastecimento de água aos municípios de Cabinda, Cacongo, Buco Zau e Belize.
João Baptista Borges orientou a continuidade da extensão da rede de distribuição de água, com contadores em zonas de intervenção e trabalho conjunto para a reposição da conduta de Ferro Fundido Dúctil (FFD) 800 milímetros do CD do Tchizo.
A melhoria dos indicadores de cobrança e a manutenção dos equipamentos foram outras das recomendações deixadas pelo governante.
A avaliação do grau de funcionamento da Central Diesel da Santa Catarina foi igualmente alvo de visita, sendo uma central constituída por seis grupos geradores instalados, com uma potência de 10,2 MW, dos quais 5 grupos encontram-se disponíveis e 1 grupo indisponível, em manutenção, tendo sido orientada a recuperação do mesmo e para que se mantenham as centrais, de igual modo, higienizadas.
Por fim, foram radiografadas as obras da nova central fotovoltaica para Cabinda, com uma capacidade de 90 MWp e 25 MWh em bateria.
