A cidade do Lubango acolheu hoje, numa das suas unidades hoteleiras, o segundo dia do Workshop Regional Sul das Águas que congregou as Entidades Gestoras dos Serviços de Abastecimento de Água e de Saneamento de Águas Residuais das províncias do Cuando Cubango, Cunene, Huíla e Namibe.
A cerimônia de abertura aconteceu ontem, 08 de Junho de 2023 e contou com a honrosa presença de Hélio Delize Neto de Almeida, Vice Governador para os Serviços Técnicos e Infraestruturas da Província da Huíla, que procedeu à abertura do evento, tendo dado as boas vindas aos presentes, solicitando um maior empenho de todos para a melhoria dos serviços de abastecimento de água e do saneamento de águas residuais.
Por seu turno, o PCA do Instituto Regulador dos Serviços de Electricidade e de Água (IRSEA), do Ministério da Energia e Águas, Luís Mourão, agradeceu a disponibilidade do Governo da Província em apoiar o evento, bem como o papel da Empresas Pública de Água e Saneamento (EPAS) da Huíla na sua organização, apelando para uma discussão aberta dos temas, visando o alcance de conhecimento sobre matérias de regulação do subsector das águas.
O Workshop decorreu no âmbito do segundo Projecto de Desenvolvimento Institucional do Sector das Águas (PDISA 2), projecto este que visa o reforço da capacidade institucional para melhorar o acesso e a confiabilidade da prestação de serviços das empresas de água e está inserido no Plano de Acção do IRSEA, tendo como lema: “Sustentabilidade das Entidades Gestoras, Desafios e Perspectivas”. Foram debatidos vários temas, designadamente:
· A Importância do IRSEA na Regulação do Sector;
· Situação Comercial das Entidades Gestoras;
· As Boas Práticas para Melhoria dos Serviços das Entidades Gestoras do Sector;
· Proposta Tarifária;
· A Importância da Informação na Regulação do Sector.
