No âmbito da implementação do Segundo Projecto de Desenvolvimento Institucional do Sector das Águas (PDISA 2), o Instituto Nacional de Recursos Hídricos (INRH), do Ministério da Energia e Águas, em parceria com a empresa consultora ZUTARI, promoveram no dia 27 de Junho do corrente ano, o “1.º Workshop de lançamento do projecto para elaboração do Inventário Nacional de Barragens e Albufeiras. Avaliação da Segurança de Barragens Seleccionadas”, evento que teve o formato presencial e híbrido.
O projecto visa avaliar o grau de segurança das barragens existentes em Angola e, em seguida, desenvolver um conjunto de ferramentas a serem utilizadas pelas entidades gestoras de barragens para garantir a segurança e longevidade das mesmas.
Participaram na actividade, representantes do Ministério da Agricultura e Florestas (MINAGRIF) Ordem dos Engenheiros de Angola (OEA), Sociedade Mineira de CATOCA, Empresa Pública de Produção de Electricidade (PRODEL E.P.), Gabinete de Aproveitamento do Médio Kwanza (GAMEK), Gabinete para Administração das Bacias Hidrográficas do Cunene, Cubango e Cuvelai (GABHIC), Comité Angolano de Barragens (CAB) e do Banco Mundial.
