No âmbito do Projecto de Apoio Institucional e de Sustentabilidade ao Abastecimento de Água Urbano e ao Serviço de Saneamento, co-financiado pelo Banco Africano de Desenvolvimento (BAD), encontram-se a decorrer contratos de Assistências Técnicas às Empresas Públicas de Água e Saneamento (EPAS) que contempla a revisão dos Panos Directores de Água e Saneamento em 6 Províncias (Cabinda, Bengo, Lunda Norte, Lunda Sul, Cuanza Sul e Cunene), que contribuam para rever as necessidades de acesso à água e condições de saneamento dos aglomerados urbanos e peri-urbanos destas províncias.
Assim, foi realizado ontem, 27 de Junho, um Workshop na Província do Bengo, para apresentação do Plano Director de Abastecimento de Água e Saneamento para a província. Este Plano Director abrange todas as sedes municipais da província e aglomerados de elevada dimensão populacional.
A realização deste workshop teve como objectivo dar a conhecer às entidades locais o resultado dos estudos, que procurou definir soluções inclusivas e resilientes e ouvir as propostas e ou comentários que devam ser integrados na versão final destes estudos, contribuindo para a adopção de soluções socialmente viáveis e sustentáveis para o abastecimento de água e de saneamento de cada umas das cidades.
O Workshop foi presidido pela Directora Nacional de Águas, do Ministério da Energia e Águas, Elsa Ramos e contou com representantes do Governo Provincial, nomeadamente, o Vice-governador para os Serviços Técnicos e Infra-Estruturas, Édson da Cruz, o Vice-governador para os Sectores Político, Social e Económico, José Bartolomeu Pedro, representantes da Direcção Nacional de Águas e das respectivas Administrações Municipais dos 6 Municípios, da EPAS do Bengo, empresas do Sector privado e demais entidades com interesse nesta temática.
