Realizou-se ontem, 16 de Maio de 2023, em Israel, um evento que visou celebrar os 10 anos de trabalho do Grupo Mitrelli em África. O referido evento contou com cerca de 1000 convidados de honra, tendo sido igualmente prestigiado por diversas personalidades africanas, entre elas, o Ministro da Energia e Águas, João Baptista Borges e altos representantes dos governos do Senegal e Costa do Marfim, bem como embaixadores do continente berço. Esteve presente o Fundador e Presidente do Grupo Mitrelli, Haim Taib, o antigo Presidente de Israel, Reuven Rivlin, o Presidente da Câmara de Jerusalém, Moshe Lion e altos funcionários económicos, activistas sociais, fundações filantrópicas, bem como empresas de tecnologia israelitas.
De um modo geral, o evento visou celebrar a relação entre Israel e o continente africano, que se baseia na cooperação em inovação como a força motriz que tem impacto no crescimento do continente. Haim Taib, ao dirigir-se aos presentes, referiu, entre outros aspectos, a questão da formação profissional e tecnológica, afirmando que "o grupo irá proporcionar, na próxima década, formação profissional e tecnológica a um milhão de pessoas no continente". Disse ainda que "juntos, com o ecossistema tecnológico israelita, podemos desenvolver soluções inovadoras para resolver este problema".
Desde 2013 que o grupo Mitrelli tem estado empenhado em África, com projectos de grande impacto em Angola, Senegal, Moçambique, entre outros países, em distintas e importantes áreas, que vão desde a energia e a água, saúde, educação e formação, contando com cerca de 2500 colaboradores.
